Introducing
The Productivity System
Most productivity systems fail because they overcomplicate the solution. Instead of trying to manage an endless list of tasks, our system helps you focus on what truly moves the needle.
The system focusses on three core principles:
- Do One Thing: Focus on a single, high-impact task at a time. Multitasking leads to inefficiency—clarity and commitment lead to results.
- Time Blocking: Structure your day into focused time blocks, eliminating distractions and ensuring deep work happens when it matters most.
- Unclutter Your Mind: Free your mind by offloading tasks, ideas, and worries into a reliable system, so you can focus on execution instead of remembering.
Most productivity systems fail because they overcomplicate the solution. Instead of trying to manage an endless list of tasks, our system helps you focus on what truly moves the needle.
Focus on what matters
Todos without the fluff
Manage your tasks by using this simple concept of a single list of ordered todos that has the most important item on the top. This simplicity forces you to make choices and focus on what really matters.
- Build for productivity.
- Instead of managing multiple lists, our system intentionally keeps things simple. There is only one question to ask: What is the task that has the highest impact and start working on it.
- Ordering that matters
- Finding priority is everything in this system. The most important things should alsways be on top. Drag and drop items in your list to change the order.
- Organise your todos.
- Organise your todos into color coded categories to make it easier to find what you need.

What gets scheduled, gets done

Frequently asked questions
- What is time blocking and why should I use it?
-
Time blocking is a productivity strategy where you assign specific periods in your day to certain tasks or a group or similar tasks. It helps you stay focused, avoid constant multitasking, and ensure that your most important work gets the time and attention it deserves.
- How is this different from a basic todo list?
-
Standard todo applications focus on managing lists of todos. Usually, these todos and lists are persistent. TimeBlocking App on the other hand encourages you use a system to actively manage your list (or at least the priority tasks) and time schedule (using time blocking) to make sure the most important work gets done first.
- How do I handle unexpected interruptions or changes in my schedule?
-
Interruptions are inevitable. If something urgent arises, reassess your schedule: decide what can be postponed or whether the new task deserves a higher priority. The key is to reorganise your todos and schedule rather than abandon them altogether.
- Do I always need to work on just one thing at a time?
-
Not necessarily. You can plan multiple tasks throughout your day, but the idea is to focus deeply on one task during its assigned time block. This approach ensures that each task receives your full attention, rather than dividing your focus between several items simultaneously.
- I like to work on paper, can I still use the app?
-
I love to work on paper too. In the future I plan to have some options available to support this. I do think that doing it digitally has big advantages, particularly for some of the more tedious things, as well as allowing you to add more context information. Feel free to use the bare minimum and adapt the system so its fits your style of working. These personalisation are a great thing. There isn't one right way to do something.
